Charming 36-hole layout on the site of a former sapphire mine
The Blue Sapphire Golf & Resort is a charming 36-hole golf course that can be reached from downtown Kanchanaburi in approximately 30 minutes. Its two courses are set on the site of an abandoned open-cast sapphire mine which is surrounded by rocky hill and framed by local plants, native trees and synthetic emerald blue lakes. With five different tee positions available, golfers of all levels can enjoy playing on these unique courses.
The Canyon Course (Course A + Course B), considered to be the better of the two courses, is known for its challenging water hazards, with many par-3 holes requiring water carries. The course also features numerous elevation changes, offering scenic views of vast mountains in the distance.
The Ocean Course (Course C + Course D), is tougher. While Course C is the shortest nine, it boasts some of the most challenging water hazards on the entire property, while Course D is even more difficult, with elevated greens, tight landing areas, and doglegs around former rock quarry walls.
Despite its rustic facilities, which include a clubhouse, restaurant, and on-site houseboat and resort-style accommodations, the Blue Sapphire Golf & Resort offers a tranquil and natural setting that golfers seeking a break from city life will appreciate. It provides a good test of golf for players of all skill levels, making it an enjoyable round for everyone.

A budget course with very poor accommodation.
Looks very tired and is in need of investment. Everything is old and worn, including carts, pathways, bar restaurant area, unkempt bunkers, poor general course presentation and stubby teeing areas. Worst of all was the accommodation which we left after one night instead of our 2 nights booked.A great layout in average condition
There are some fantastic holes on this course but the whole place has an air of neglect. Still OK to play if you want a relaxing round and can ignore some of the poor maintenance.Course Info
